One of the core focus of Business Hub One is growing an active community of founders, investors. Contribution is key to achieving this goal.
Since inception, we’ve been super open to submissions from experts in the ecosystem to the point of going out way to get them sometimes.
Guidelines in accepting Contributions
In the spirit of quality content, there have to be guidelines to ensure we publish content that is valuable to our audience.
We have come up with this pre-filter, you can use this to judge your content before sending it in. If it hits the marks, be sure we are most likely going to publish it.
1) Expertise/Research
You don’t have to be well known to be a contributor, but you must know a lot about the subject you’re writing about.
2) Evidence
It’s not enough to know your subject deeply — you have to prove it to the reader. Referring to supporting research is one good way to do this; describing relevant examples is another. If you have interesting data, let us know.
3) Originality
If you’re writing about a well-worn topic, we’ll be looking for a unique argument or insight. We’ll also be looking at how well it builds on what we’ve already published and whether it might inform or delight the BHO audience specifically.
4) Usefulness
BHO readers come to get useful insights. If you can explain your thinking so that the reader understands how to apply it in a real situation, that will make it more powerful.
5) Writing that’s persuasive and a pleasure to read:
BHO readers are smart and sceptical and busy. If you don’t capture their interest right away, they will move on to something else
6) Mechanically accurate
The fewer the typos and grammar errors, the easier our lives will be. We like easy.
On promotions
If your article contributes to the body of knowledge asides from promoting your brand, we will accept it.
